Background:  You are the son of Don Claudio, a leader of one of the families comprising Le Tredici Famiglie:  The city of Vanity’s powerful organized crime syndicate.  Sadly, your mother died when you were a small child, her life taken by a car bomb planted by one of your father’s many enemies.  You only have the vaguest memories by which you can remember her life.

Raised by your father, you came to idolize him for his intelligence, power, and the unreserved affection he demonstrated to you throughout your childhood.  You never really wanted anything in your life other than to be just like him:  To one day succeed him as Don, carrying on his legacy and allowing him to rest with the knowledge that what he had built with blood, sweat, and tears throughout his life would only grow and flourish under your care.  Under his tutelage, you learned much of the family business and how to conduct yourself as a man that might one day fill his shoes.
